PokerStars BBB Member Freeroll 08/28 Winner :)

Hello!

Last Saturday I managed to finish 1st in the PokerStars freeroll, I would like to say big big thanks for the BBB team and mainly for Romaine for organizing these very great tournaments.

Let me tell you how it all happened. I arrived a bit late, so the blinds were already 30/60 and I had only about 1000 chips. So i started the game quite short stacked, but I was patient and was waiting for a double up, when I got JJ, I moved to 1500 with it, i lost some smaller pots, then I got J2s in a limped game, flop was 2 diamonds so I had a flush draw, I called the 200 bet, I hit my flush on turn, ch-ch, river was another diamond, i bet 300, my opp called I think with Q9 2 pair, so I had about 2000 chips, but I was still short stack at 50/100 blinds. Later I doubled up with KK, I had about 3,7k. I won some smaller pots, so I collected step by step, but when the blinds were going up to 150/300 I was quite card dead, when we reached FT I had only about 3k chips, got A9 went all in after a guy's 3BB raise, called with QJ, he flopped the 2 pair but I rivered him with a straigt, so I had about 6,4k. There were only 5 players left when I got 88, an opp went all in with about 8k chips, I called had about 6k, and won against 55. Had 14k after that hand. We were only 3 left when I doubled up with QJ when I flopped J, I went all in, my opp had a flush draw, but the Jacks holded, so I had about 22k. The guy had only about 600 chips left and could even come back from there with several double ups, he knocked out the 3rd player too, who had some connection problems, was quite often disconnected. I started the heads up a bit behind, 48k vs 34k. During the HU I won more pots than my opponent so I took the lead, the blinds were quite high (600/1200) so most of the hands were limped or minriased because were weren't too deep. I got 810 we limped again, I missed the flop but turn was 10, I bet 2400 got the call, river was 8, I bet 4800, opp minraised me, I called he had 2 pair too, but only 58. The stacks were 68k vs 12k. I lost some blinds and a smaller pot, then I took some blinds and a smaller pot, lost a smaller pot again, but could take the last 4 hands. The very last hand was K10, opp went all in with 10k, I called, he showed QJ, flop was K83 turn 9 river 9, so I won the game.

GL all,

Adam
