Basic Text Formatting

In order to keep the format of all our Gambling Wiki-articles as uniform as possible we kindly ask you to follow the guidelines below when you write an article (in order to see precisely how things are done, please click on edit to look at the source text).

Contents

[edit] Main headline

The first paragraph should explain what the article is about und repeat the Main headline in bold print. In order to maintain a visually appealing format, please do not use italic or bold print excessively.

[edit] Level 2 heading

Before and after headings leave a blank line,

or create
a wordrap.

[edit] Level 3 heading

In order to further structure the text, you can use level 3 headings which will also be seen in the table of contents (which is automatically created when there are more than 3 headings in a text). Apart from that you can create bullet lists - again with a blink line at top and bottom - like this:

  • First point
  • Second point
  • Third point

[edit] Level 2 heading

We try to keep the table of contents relatively short so you can also structure a certain topic by not using further headings but maybe just some more bullet points which do not appear in the table of contents.

  • If you want to insert a (short) table please use the following system to create it:

Caption 1 Caption 2
First Point First Example
Second Point Second Example
Third Point Third Example

  • Should you have a more extensive table or an image you want to add, we recommend that you insert the table or image into a Paint-file where you can format it according to your wishes, and then save it as a .jpg file, after having saved the file you insert it into the text as follows:
She may not be the first cow, but she will always be The Last Cow
She may not be the first cow, but she will always be The Last Cow

Please note that you need to be logged in in order to be able to upload an image, after having created the link, you have to actually upload the file once until it appears in your article.

  • Furthermore you can also structure the contents of your text using a numbered list:
  1. First point
  2. Second point
  3. Third point
