 Information about online betting
Bodog was founded in 1994 and has offices and is accepted as a state-recognized bookmaker in Antigua and Barbuda, Costa Rica, Great Britain and Canada. Furthermore, Bodog was the first patent protected online gambling website in the United States. The company is operated by the Bodog Entertainment Group, which is one of the largest international gambling groups worldwide. Bodog is licensed in North America by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC). This is an international gambling authority, founded in 1996, which issues licenses for online gaming. Outside of North America, Bodog is regulated from Antigua, while bets are processed in Costa Rica. Bodog more or less tailors its offerings to suit the US market, which is typical for US bookmakers. They place their emphasis on popular American sports, such as basketball, baseball, hockey and college sports. Bets on soccer, tennis, motor sports and boxing are available too, as well as on darts and snooker. The range of sports at Bodog even includes mixed martial arts, which is very popular in the United States and Latin America (mixed martial arts is a full contact combat sport combining different fighting techniques). Wagers on horse and dog sports are also welcome. In addition to the usual betting options, Bodog provides a number of alternative bets such as over/under bets, half-time bets, "total goal" bets and handicap bets. Bettors can even place wagers on who will be the top scorer in various leagues. The selection of entertainment bets at Bodog is quite large and contains wagers on political decisions and televised events. Bodog accepts live bets for sports such as basketball, baseball and American football. Games Those looking to take some time off from the world of sports betting can play a round of roulette in the Bodog Casino or a game of cards at Bodog Poker. From Texas Hold'em, Omaha, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud, players will find every poker variation they could ask for. Also worth mentioning are the many special features at Bodog that really make the site stand out. Among them is the “Bodog Battle of the Bands,” an international million-dollar band competition. The company also operates its own publisher, which issues an online magazine called “Bodog Nation” and the blog, “Bodog Beat.” What's more, Bodog also has an international television production division, “Bodog TV,” which produces reality shows such as “Bodog Fight,” “Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker” and “Bodog Salutes the Troops.” Bodog even has its own international music label called “Bodog Music.” Their roster includes big names like DMX, Wu-Tang Clan and Billy Idol. Information about the Website Unfortunately, Bodog does not allow Canadian residents to open a sportsbook account. US residents are, however, welcome at Bodog, despite the “Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act” (UIGEA), which outlaws the transfer of money from American banks and credit card companies to online bookmakers.
